What is PCAP?

Parent- Child Attachment Play is an innovative and playful 10 step method to empower parents and carers as the change agents in their own families.

It enables parents and carers to strengthen the quality of the relationship they have with their children both inside and outside the home.

What is involved?

Parent- Child Attachment Play involves the Creative Steps Practitioner working with the parent/ carer.

The Parent-Child Attachment play practitioner will share three skills with the parent/carer. These skills are child-oriented play, containment and reflective functioning.

The practitioner and parent/ carer will practice these together. Once comfortable with these new skills the parent/carer can set up a weekly you & me time at home with their child.
